It's rare for me to miss a whole ski season, but I did this year. There just wasn't enough snow for me to bother. (the few good weekends happened to be accompanied by drive-time storms).
Sadly, but I suppose inevitably, the dry conditions contributed to this horrible fire. My heart goes out to all thosepeople who lost their homes - or ski cabins.
And what was up with that poison ivy story on network news last night - we're being overrun with an unusually resistant and poisonous ivy?
Fortunately, I saw a single lonely little bee in the garden today. Not too many of those either.
Is it climate change, or are we just paranoid?
